i want to write you a song. i feel like you deserve it.
it doesn’t even have to be for you. did someone you love just graduate? run a marathon? win one of those contests where they had to keep their hand on a car longer than anyone else and if they do it, they win the car? got a wedding or an anniversary coming up? a song would be a pretty good gift for the person you love, don’t you think?
don’t worry - i’ll do all the hard work. i’ll figure out the chords, make some words up that mostly rhyme. there will be verses. and choruses. sometimes there will be a bridge, but really, not all songs need a bridge. sometimes the bridge is superfluous.
songs will:
be 2 – 4 minutes in length
consist of guitar and vocals
will not include racism, sexism, or really any of the bad isms out there
sometimes contain deep metaphors – like talking about the sky but really meaning happiness
be sent to you as an mp3 only after you have heard and approved of the song
and most importantly they’ll be about the person/event/place you choose and will include as many details as you would like them to include
